Android M Update :Moto G (2015) and HTC One M8 to get upgrade in December
Android Marshmallow is already out and running on the recently-released Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. It is now time that the update moves to non-Nexus devices as well and we now have to wait for the phones to appear in the ‘list.’ Telus and Rogers gave us a hint of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update list when they updated the software upgrade schedule this week, but the dates are not exact and are subject to change.
It’s not an unknown fact that Nexus devices are the first to get new Android updates before any other device. The Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 9 have already got the new Marshmallow update apart from the newest Nexus phones. The latest HTC One A9 too has got the firmware running on it, while other big OEMs like Motorola, Samsung, and LG too have been known for pushing out new Android updates very quickly, and they have already promised the Android Marshmallow update to a few of their phones. Canada seems to be getting the first few updates.
The list above is taken from the Telus website and the Moto G (2015) and HTC One M8 might get the upgrade in December. The Rogers website shows the upgrade for HTC One M8 and One M9 as “Coming Soon! This does not gives us an idea about the release date of the update, but it does tell us about the phones that are most likely to get updated to Android Marshmallow.
