FUTURE SOLAR PANEL TO GENERATE ENERGY FROM RAINDROPS
A new solar cell prototype developed by scientists in Qingdao, China may change the way we use solar panels in the not so distant future.
When Solar Panels were introduced in the previous decade, many scientists and even people asked a very genuine question. Will it work under non-ideal weather conditions ? The answer was simple. No. While many scientists have tried to increase the efficiency there's nothing you can do when its raining or even when there's a cloudy sky.
But mankind is always curious and tries to solve any problem it has faced in the past. The solution came when a group of Chinese scientists found a way to generate electricity from raindrops. The method they used is called Lewis Acid-Base interaction.
The technology is still in testing stage and could well be commercialized for public use in the near future.
