Meizu M3 Note Launched in India at 9,999
Meizu has launched the m3 Note in India at a price of Rs 9,999. The phone will be available exclusively through Amazon.in. Registrations for the device begin on May 11 and it will go on sale on May 31. The lower mid range smartphone market is becoming an increasingly populated space, with cutthroat competition from the likes of LeEco, Xiaomi, Coolpad, Asus and Micromax.
The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 1.8GHz Helio P10 processor along with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. The phone also supports expansion through microSD cards of upto 128GB. The design language of the phone is same as last year's m2 Note with the same premium looking all metal unibody design.
There is a fingerprint scanner built into the home button, which Meizu promises can unlock the device in 0.2 seconds.
The connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE along with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 as well as GPS. What's disappointing is that the phone uses microUSB for data transfer and charging, instead of the new USB Type C.
The phone has a full HD 5.5 inch display with a pixel density of 403 PPI. While 1080p sounds disappointing on paper in the day and age of 1440p screens, we have to wait and see how it looks and performs in real life.
The distinctive feature of the phone is the massive 4,100 mAh battery. This fact was highlighted by Meizu in the invitation for the launch event itself, which came with the caption 'a long lasting beauty'. It runs on Meizu's own Flyme OS atop Android 5.1 Lollipop. There is no definite release date for the Marshmallow update.
The rear camera is a 13MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture. It comes with Phase Detection Auto Focus as well as a Dual LED flash. The front camera is 5MP with a f/2.0 aperture.
3gb + 32 gb version at 9,999 will be on sale exclusively on amazon.in .
