Samung to Unveil Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 in India

Samsung is all set to launch its two new smartphone, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in India today. J7 and J5 were introduced in China this year and went in sale in South Korea last week. As far as pricing is Concern Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) will remain online exclusive and it will be available from 10 May in India. Galaxy J5('16) could be priced at Rs. 13.990 and Galaxy J7('16) could be priced around Rs. 15,990.

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) features a 5.2-inch HD Super Amoled screen which have resolution of 720x1280 pixels. Samsung Galaxy J5 is powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz and have 2GB of RAM, for graphics, it comes with a Adreno 306 GPU . It have 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up-to 128 GB. J5 also features 3100mAh of battery. J5 weights around approx. 160grm.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) features a 5.5 inch Full HD ( 720 × 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Display. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz Octa core Exynos 7870 Processor with 2GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Mali GPU.The handset is backed by a 3300mAh battery. It measures 151.7x76x7.8mm and 169 grams. It's worth noting that the Galaxy J7 (2016) variant launched in South Korea came with slight difference in specifications.

• The Samsung Galaxy J7 is powered by the 64bit capable Exynos 7870 chipset that houses 8 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6 Ghz each coupled with Mali T830 GPU and 2 GB RAM.
• There's 16GB of internal storage available and it also has a micro sd slot for memory expansion.
• The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 houses a 13MP Rear Camera capable of capturing 1080p video and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. Both have an aperture of F/1.9
• There's also a front facing LED light included.
• It still sports a 5.5" 720P super Amoled HD display but with a larger 3300 mAh user replaceable battery.
• The Galaxy J7 2016 currently runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung's custom Touchwiz UI on top.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) China variant featured a full-HD display and also came with 3GB of RAM. We will have to wait till Samsung India confirms the innards of the Galaxy J7 (2016) for the Indian market.
