Tim Cook, Chief of Apple Inc., Four-day visit to India.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc., who landed in Mumbai Late on Tuesday (17th May 2016) night around 11.45 pm from where he was taken to Taj Hotel through a private jet.
First day – 18th May 2016
Cook started his multi-city India tour with an early morning visit to Shree SiddhiVinayak Temple at Prabhadevi. Cook was accompanied by Sanjay Kaul, Head of Apple India. There he met Anant Ambani, the son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani.
Through the course of the day, Cook met Tata Group executives including chairman Cyrus Mistry. Cook had lunch with top executives at Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, where he was joined by another son Akash Ambani, aide Manoj Modi, Reliance Jio MD Sanjay Mashruwala and Pankaj Pawar, who overseas Reliance Retail.

Cook Visited ICICI Bank Headquarters and met top management people and had a meeting which lasted about an hour.
Cook announced the US technology behemoth was planning to build the app design facility in Bengaluru. Also Cook met executives from Startups Numerics, Avaz, Sweetcouch and Urban Clap after the announcement.
Before Dinner, Cook visited Mehboob Studio in Bandra West, where he was part of a seminar being moderated by filmmaker Mahesh Batt.
For Dinner, Cook was at Sharuk Khan’s place, where he had a private party with glittering Bollywood guest list that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal, Parineeti Chopra, Farah Khan, Imtiaz Ali, R Balki and Alia Bhatt among others. The dinner at SRK’s place was catered by celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani.

Second day – 19th May 2016
On 19th morning (Thursday), Cook headed to Hyderabad Where he met Telengana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT IT Minister KT Rama Rao besides visiting the location of company’s upcoming technology development centre for Maps, which is expected to be ready by early 2017.
Cook turned up to watch Gujarat Lions take on Kolkata Knight Riders, his first IPL match at Kanpur. He was seen enjoying the game while sitting alongside Congress leader Rajeev Shukla and Sanjay Dutt.

Third day – 20th May 2016
After the IPL match, Cook headed to New Delhi. He had an interview with the news channel NDTV and he mentioned about the importance of 4G, Plan to bring Apple Pay to India which is a mobile payment and digital wallet service that lets users to make payments through apple devices.
Later in the afternoon he visited an Apple store at DLF Galleria, Gurgaon and had a staff meeting which lasted around 45 minutes, with Bengaluru and Mumbai offices logged in by video conference.

Cook Also met Sunil Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Airtel and had an hour long meeting.
He also visited Zomato, which is in the same building as Apple’s office.
He ended the day with a dinner hosted by US Ambassador to India Richard verma.
Fourth Day – 21st May 2016
Tim Cook is meeting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cook shared Apple Inc.’s future plans for India and the possibilities of manufacturing and retailing in India. They discussed about the cyber-crime issues, stories of entrepreneurship, Renewable energy, import and selling of refurbished iPhones at cheaper prices etc... At the end, Cook launched an updated version of the ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’ which has a new feature ‘My Network’

Modi thanked Cook for the launch of updated version of the mobile app. In return Cook thanked Modi for a “Great Meeting” and mentioned “Already looking forward for the next visit to India” he wrote on his Twitter Account.
Later He left India and visited an Apple store in Dubai on his way to the Netherlands for Startup Fest Europe, according to the pictures posted in his Twitter feed.
On a Nut Shell, Tim Cook’s visit to India was to enrich Research and Development of Apple Inc., and not to set up any manufacturing unit in the near future. He mentioned that India has a lot of potential for Young talents and India presents a “really great opportunity” and also the company is looking for new growth markets like India.
Following Tim Cook’s visit, Indian-born Microsoft CEO Sathya Nadella has planned a visit to India on May 30. These visits and increasing engagements by global leaders highlight India’s rise as a huge technology consumer and not just as an outsourcing destination.
