Today it announced the launch of its most awaited smartphone – YUNICORN, the flagship for 2016. The new smartphone is a complete amalgamation of compelling hardware and software capabilities to provide an unmatched smartphone experience that is unparalleled in the category. Priced at a compelling tag of Rs. 12, 999/- YUNICORN will be exclusively available on Flipkart, the first sale for which is scheduled on 7th June- 2 PM onwards.
On the hardware front, the YUNICORN is packed with the might of a 5.5 inch Full HD display, a Mediatek Helio P10 processor, 4GB RAM, a fingerprint scanner (at the front), 4000 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera and a lot more to target the consumers who are looking for a seamless smartphone experience backed with an impeccable design language.
A true performance powerhouse, YUNICORN will have the upgraded version of AROUND YU, which is integrated platform to provide basic services with just a right swipe on the device. With Around, users will not have to juggle between multiple apps and can directly access services such as food, travel (Flights, Buses, Trains and Hotels), Shopping, cabs, cricket, News and Weather. The ease will get enhanced as the service comes integrated with a native wallet-UDIO for the first time.
Although the internal memory is 32 GB, but in order to give more storage, YU has partnered with MiMedia to give unlimited storage through its social Cloud. It will power the smartphone’s native phone gallery and provide users new and unique features.
A stunning device in metal, the YUNICORN is a head turner which represents style and premium looks.
