In order to bring awareness amongst the road users, Big Boy Toyz launched its CSR Campaign to help reduce the human error factor in a road accident.Mr. S. L Ahuja (Chairman- Big Boy Toyz) along with Sh. Abhay Damle (IRS- Joint Sec., Ministry of Road Transport and Highways), Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar (Transport Minister- Haryana), Ms. Garima Bhatnagar (IPS- Joint Commisioner of Police- Traffic, Delhi Police), Sh. H. M Naqvi ( CGM- Road Safety Cell, NHAI) released the campaign. The first stage of creating the awareness is going to be through the Big Boy Toyz stickers with the slogan “ I am a Big Boy because Big Boys Drive Toyz responsibly” to be distributed free of cost across the length and breadth of the nation.
With an objective to create public awareness about Road Safety problems and solutions in India, Big Boy Toyz in collaboration with ASSOCHAM organised the 2nd Conference on Safe Road- Safe Life. Road safety is a major concern for the regulatory authorities and there is a lot to be done in the field of Road Safety Management. World Health Organization (WHO) has identified road accidents as the biggest killer across the world. Over 1.39 Lac people lost their precious lives in road accidents in 2014 alone, which is more than the number of people killed in our wars put together. As per the statistics, one serious accident occurs every single minute & 16 lives are lost each hour in road mishaps. While there are multiple reasons for the accidents on roads, namely defective motor vehicle condition, poor light, poor infrastructure etc., the human error can also not be ruled out altogether.
Speaking on the occasion Big Boy Toyz Chairman Mr. S. L Ahuja said, ‘’ Road usage is the right of every individual. Rights should not be taken away, rather be bestowed upon. Big Boy Toyz has initiated this awareness through the sticker campaign. As a Chairman of this organization, it is my promise to the people that we would continue our unending support for the Social Cause. Everyone associated with BBT would have safer roads to drive on.”
Road safety is a Shared responsibility. It calls for a collective action to prevent road accidents, for no one person can change the current scenario on his or her own
