MacBook Pro 2016 Has Received More Online Orders Than Any Previous Pro Laptop
Apple's Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Phil Schiller, has shared a few new details about the processes that went into creating the new MacBook Pro 2016, which was unveiled last week. In a brief but wide-ranging interview with British news outlet The Independent, Schiller addressed several common questions and emphasised that Apple is confident about the direction it is taking its products in. He also stated that the company has received more orders through its online store for the new MacBook Pro 2016 than it has for any previous pro laptop in the past.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Launch Set for November 4
Xiaomi has announced the upcoming launch of the Redmi 4 at a November 4 event. The phone has been much rumoured in the past couple of months, though a recent leak via the Chinese telecommunications certification authority showed a low-cost, basic-specifications variant called the Redmi 4A.
Previously leaks for the Redmi 4 tipped a full metal body with capacitive button at the front, and power and volume buttons at the right. It is said to sport a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) LCD display, and be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM - it should be noted that an earlier leak had pointed to the use of a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC instead.
The Redmi 4 comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via via microSD card (up to 128GB). It is said to bear a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. It packs a 4100mAh battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected to measure at 141.3x69.6x8.9mm, and weigh 153 grams. It will be made available in Grey, Silver and Gold colour options.
iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G tablet with voice calling launched at Rs 16999
Indian mobile phone and tablet maker, iBall has launched a new tablet under Slide series, iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G, priced at Rs 16,999.
The iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G features a 10.1 inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with 149.45 ppi as pixel density. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core ARM Cortex A53 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. The tablet comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera. For selfies, it comes with a 5-megapixel front camera. It has 16 GB on internal memory (Approx. 5GB of built in storage is used by OS and other application files & 11GB free for file storage) which can be expanded to up to 64 GB through a micro SD card. It packs a 7,800 mAh battery.
OnePlus 4 with Snapdragon 830 chipset to launch in 2017: Report
The speculations regarding the OnePlus 4 suggest that the Snapdragon 830 SoC on the device will be clocked at 3GHz, which will be coupled with an Adreno 620 GPU. The phone is expected to be running Android Nougat out of the box and be backed by a 4000 mAh battery (a 25 per cent increase from the OnePlus 3).
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 is still under testing and is expected to be clocked at 3.6GHz. Snapdragon 830 could have an octa-core (Kryo cores) setup and is rumoured to support upto 8GB of RAM, and a display resolution of 4K. The chipset is also expected to be one of the SoC’s that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched with – the other being Samsung’s own Exynos 8895.
Moto M Surfaces in Leaked Live Images and Benchmark Website Listing
As per the listing on AnTuTu, shared by GSMArena, the Moto M (XT1662) sports a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) screen and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Moto M is tipped to have 32GB of inbuilt storage.
The smartphone has been tipped to come with a 5.5-inch display in earlier leaks. In terms of optics, the AnTuTu listing suggests that the Moto M smartphone will pack a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies.
Google Daydream View VR Headset to Hit Stores on November 10
Last month, Google launched its first Daydream-ready virtual reality headset - Daydream View - and explained how its light weight and wearable fabric design make it a superior headset to its competitors. Now the company has announced the availability of the device and said that it will be hitting Google Store and other retailers, on November 10 in five countries including the US.
Google's virtual reality headset Daydream View will be available in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia from November 10. With Daydream View, you can watch movies, TV shows, and even play VR games on your Daydream ready smartphone, like Pixel, with the controller provided along the headset.
