Motorola Moto M - Everything you need to know!
Motorola finally unveiled the Moto M specs today, and here is all you need to know!
With lots of rumours going aroung the web in the last few weeks, the Moto M is finally ready to surface. With a nice 5.5" FHD IPS Display to meed all of those phablet needs! Powered by the Mediatek's newest Octa-Core Helio P15(2,2GHz A53, Mali 860MP2)
MTK promises 10-15% improvement over the P10.It will also pack 4GBs of RAM and 32GB's of Storage, while running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. What's really interesting is that the device will be covered in nano-coating and will be Splash-resistant, so you don't have to worry about the rain damaging your device - pretty neat.
The Moto M will also feature 300Mb/sec download at 4G with VoLTE enabled and is a Dual(nano)sim phone! Moto M will also have Dolby Atmos sound for 360° surround sound for Music and Videos with a front and bottom speaker!
It will be no slouch in the camera department with a 16MPPDAF, CCT, fast focus, and a LED flash. Probably the same Sony sensor found in the Moto Z Play! The front camera will be 8MP with a 85° wide lense for great selfies. The back will also house a Fingerprint Sensor, which will unlock in 0.1s!
And last, but not least a 3050mAh Battery with Quick Charge 2.0!
Motorola really has made a very feature packed device with top mid-range specs. There is indeed a need for a splash-proof device with great sound and camera. The pricing is expected to be around 300$ in Asia. This is a very competitive market as the Moto M faces competition from:
Xiaomi Mi5
LeEco Le 2 Max
Zuk Z2
All of them offering Snapdragon 820 at the same price range. Are you willing to trade-off performance for a better sound, camera and Splash resistance? I personally believe it's a fair trade-off, as the P15 will be more than adequate to provide, great performance even it heavy multi-tasking. Built quality and software optimizations are just as important as extra gaming performance on a phone.
Motorola are well known to run a very optimized version of Android with no bloatware, so you should get a pretty speedy device when to comes to general performance.
