After seeing the Jio offers, airtel has launched its Rs. 549 and Rs.799 offer in a bid to counter the growing popularity of Jio's Happy New Year Offer.

Even for us these plans seem to be attractive but doesn't ,  match to Jio's presently valid Happy New Year Offer and post-offer Jio data plans.

While Airtel gives you 2GB data with free calling on the Rs.549 plan, Jio gives you the same for Rs.299 along with unlimited download option at night and 4GB additional hotspot data.

Moreover Students and postpaid users can also avail some other cheery over this ice cream.Which airtel is not giving, the Rs.549 offer by Airtel is nowhere close to the Rs.499 plan by Jio which also comes with the unlimited night download perks and 8Gb additional hotspot data.

This offer by Airtel is limited only to 4G handsets and the 3G handsets will only get 1Gb and 2Gb data respectively if they ever avail of this offer.On the other hand Jio sim only works in 4G handset only which is the only loose point for jio right now.

All of these hidden conditions are not a new to Airtel who have been launching offers that seem great at face value but dig a little deeper and they have nothing substantial to provide their customers.

Jio Happy New year Offer is still on and any offer by incumbents cannot beat its offerings.

Soon jio will expand its footprints in broadband and DTH sectors also where Carriers like Airtel will be hit adversely from Jio offers.
