Everything About Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Pro
Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled three new devices today: the Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 Standard Edition, and Redmi 4 Pro Edition. These enter the very popular Redmi family of mid-range affordable phones. All three bring metal constructions, 5" screens, and Marshmallow for astoundingly amazing price points.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro edition sports a 5-inch TFT display with 1080p resolution with 2.5D curved glass. The phone is running on a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and will be featuring 3GB RAM along with 32GB of storage (expandable to 128GB).
The phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5MP front shooter. Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 is backed by a 4,100 mAh battery, same as the Redmi Note 3. The new Redmi phone will be running the latest MIUI 8 version over Android Marshmallow.
The Redmi 4 standard edition comes with a 720 p resolution and Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space. The expandable storage remains 128GB via microSD, and the rest of the specifications are the same as well.
Redmi 4A will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, featuring 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The battery on the Redmi 4A will be smaller – 3120 mAh. Both Xiaomi Redmi 4 phones will be available in China, with the Standard edition priced at 699 Yuan (approx Rs 6,900) and the Redmi 4 Pro available for 899 Yuan (approx Rs 8,800). The phones will be available in three colour variants – Gold, Grey and Silver. The Redmi 4A is priced at 499 Yuan (Rs 4933).
Xiaomi had recently launched the Mi Note 2, and displayed its edge-to-edge display concept phone the Mi Mix. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is however not expected to reach Indian shores like its predecessor, the Mi Note. Xiaomi’s new smartphones are China exclusive for now.
