Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 With Snapdragon 625 For India!(comparison with Redmi Note 3 Pro)
Xiaomi has just announced the Redmi Note 4 India Version, and as always we've got you covered!
Read on to find out what's different about Redmi Note 4 India, and the difference between it and China's Redmi Note 4, and also a comparison with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
The Original Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was packing Mediatek Helio X20 and launched 4 months ago, and we did a review in our youtube channel, so check it out
Xiaomi are prohibited from selling Mediatek devices in India, so they are now re-doing the device to fit India's needs and laws.
And here steps the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
or as I like to call it Redmi 4 in a Note body :D
For those of you not aware, Xiaomi's Redmi 4 Prime is powered by the same Snapdragon 625, but has a smaller form factor.
You can check our written review of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 or watch the Video Review.
Most of you Xiaomi fans already own a Redmi Note 3 Pro or Redmi 4 Prime, so is there a need to upgrade, and if so, what are the benefits?
As far as gaming performance goes, you are better off with the Redmi Note 3 Pro, as you can see Antutu 3D score for the Snapdragon 625(and yes it will be the same chip and score in the Redmi Note 4 India) is a lot lower than the Snapdragon 650 in the Note 3.
The key features for Snapdragon 625 are efficiency, battery life and thermals.
Since it's a smalle chip, the Snapdragon 625 in the Redmi Note 4 produces less heat and thus is cool all the time and battery lasts longer, but don't expect huge differences in battery life.
It's also a newer chip and will have better native support for Android Nougat coming with MIUI 9
Camera on the Redmi Note 4 India version will be 13MP and with f/2.2(probably same camera as in the Redmi 4 Prime)
and that is again a step down from the 16MP f/2.0 sensor on the Note 3 Pro.
It might have better focusin speed and shutter speed, but will be a tad inferior.
The Redmi Note 4 will also include a Remote Control sensor and Slow-Motion video, it's unclear at this point if it will have NFC, but since it was not mentioned in the promo material, I would't get my hopes up.
The Redmi Note 4 will be priced similar to the Redmi Note 3 Pro, if not a bit cheaper
To conclude, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 India will be a great device, but if you are already packing a Redmi Note 3 Pro with Snapdragon 650 and you are happy with your device, there is probably no need to upgrade.
On the other hand if you have an older Xiaomi device or an older smartphone in general the Redmi Note 4 with Snadpragon 625 will provide you with excellent value for your money, if you want a bigger 5.5-inch device.
