Xiaomi To Release Their Best Phone And It's Not Mi6!

After lead man Hugo Barra left Xiaomi for Facebook, things have been pretty quiet on the Eastern front. Today we've received information from China about a new, and what may probably be the best smartphone to buy in 2017!First, what do you think is Xiaomi's most successful phone to date?

Most of you believe it's the Mi4 that put Xiaomi on the map all over the world?

or perhaps the concept beauty Mi MIX?

The truth is, neither!

In fact, it's not a flagship, but maybe still one of the best phones you can buy, that's right - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro!

Packing everything that a flagship smartphone should have, but on a budget price!Xiaomi really hit a home run, and it is by far their best selling phone ever!However, the Redmi Note 4 and now Note 4 India version have failed to live up to the Redmi Note 3 Pro's reputation, by either offering lackluster camera or performance, compared to the Note 3 Pro.

Without telling anyone recently Xiaomi has changed it's mid-range lineup, and therefore there is no more Redmi Note Pro series but that has been redesigned to a new just Redmi Pro,

which was released last year, but also failed to live up to the hype, with an average camera performance, and the OLED display did not go well as a second selling point. Nevertheless Xiaomi are aiming to continue with the Redmi Pro line that is now obviously replacing the  Redmi Note Pro line.

Meet the Redmi Pro 2

Packing the new Snapdragon 660 and 4/6GB RAM 64/128GB ROM, a 4500mAh battery and Sony's IMX362 12MP camera with 1.4 micron pixels. Now, let's elaborate on those specs!

The Snapdragon 660 was announced in November last year, but is yet to feature in a phone, what we do know is that it will pack 4xA73 cores and 4xA53 cores, along with Adreno 512 GPU, a true successor to the Snapdragon 652/653, built on the newer 14nm process!

The CPU performance will beat even Snadpragon 820 and 821, but will be a bit shy on GPU performance, but that's OK since nothing on the market can even take 50% advantage of the Adreno 530 found in SD820 and 821. Theoretically Antutu score should be ~130 000 points, beating even Kirin 960!

Couple that with the great battery life the 4500mAh unit will provide and the abundance of RAM and Storage as Xiaomi look to regain the Flagship Killer market from OnePlus!

What about price, well remember how cheap the Redmi Note 3 Pro was compared to the OnePlus 2?

The price for Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be ~250$ or ~17000Rs!
