Nokia 3310 reloaded : Price feature and everything else

The new Nokia 3310 is priced at 49.99 Euros which approximately come down to Rs 3,500. The outer shell has two variants: a glossy polycarbonate exterior that comes in red and yellow and dark blue and grey colours in matte-finished fascia. The phone has dual SIM card support along with microSD card support of up to 32GB. 

The 240x320 QVGA display is curved with a polarised layer for better sunlight legibility. And it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 3.0. 

There’s also a 2-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash. 

Best of all, like the old 3310, the new Nokia 3310 also lasts for one month on standby and 22 hours of talk time. On top of that, it has Snake and the Nokia ringtone. 

However, one may argue that despite the entire industry racing forward to come out with the smartest devices, why is Nokia looking back and resurrecting one of their best-selling devices of an era that is long gone? That’s partly because Nokia is taking advantage of the fact that users are getting tied a bit too much to their devices, so much so, that they sometimes consider using a dumb feature phone as a means of detoxing. The Nokia 3310 will plugin to this exact need among the new users. This is of course in tandem with Nokia’s strategy of continuing its strong momentum in the emerging markets where feature phone sales are still high. 

Nevertheless, it was good to see one of the most successful brand which suffered an unceremonious fall from grace sometime back, to resurge and take rebirth. Hello again, Nokia.
