OnePlus 5 A5000 spotted on China Radio Regulation Authority
OnePlus, since its inception in 2013 has been launching spectacular smartphones every year. The invite hype created by the oneplus for its first smartphone in India, Oneplus One is the biggest till now.
OnePlus recently launched the midnight black variant of its Oneplus 3T, but the rumors surrounding the next flagship had been around since the launch of oneplus 3 last year.
Oneplus is now expected to launch a new flagship device in the second half of 2017 and as rumors suggested, the company might bypass Oneplus 4( Number 4 considered unlucky in the Chinese culture) by launching the Oneplus 5 as its new flagship device.
Today some credible confirmation has come into light confirming the rumor. A new smartphone has surfaced on the China's Radio Regulation Authority which confirms the name of the device as Oneplus 5 and model A5000 which is consistent with the model A3000 of Oneplus 3 and A3010 of Oneplus 3T.
Although the actual specs of the device are not out yet, the Oneplus 5 is rumored to sport a 5.5 inch 2K display (1080x2048 pixels), powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM. It's rumored to come with 23MP camera at its back, with features like Optical Image stabilization, Zoom, Fast flash etc. along with 16MP selfie camera. The phone is expected to be bezel less.
Because of more display area, the phone is expected to have the fingerprint scanner on its back instead of being integrated into the home button.
As the official launch of other flagships from long established companies like Samsung (S8 and S8+ India launch on 19 April ) and LG (LG G6), we are eagerly waiting for the new flagship from revolutionary company. There are no speculations right now regarding the price of Oneplus 5 or its launch date, but this phone like other oneplus devices is expected to provide high specs for moderate prices.
