One of the interestingly lined-up devices of Nokia at MWC 2018 is Nokia 7 Plus. This device is announced as a successor to the last year's hit Nokia 7. Nokia 7 had pretty much all the moderate features for a mid-range budget smartphone. Let's see what's the new brother got to offer this year.
The Nokia 7 Plus' frame is made of a single block of Aluminium 6000 series. The rear panel is reportedly painted with 6 layers of paint to feel like ceramic. You will be confused to determine if the rear is made of metal or ceramic.
The fingerprint sensor is now placed on the rear panel comfortably. The screen is a 6 inch HD+ IPS LCD display. This means more power saving and lesser power consumption. The display holds an 18:9 body to screen ratio putting it on par with the other mid-budget devices.
Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4 GB RAM. The device offers 64 GB Internal storage and expandable up to 256 GB via SD card. The device runs on Android OS V8.0, Oreo out of the box. The company claims to offer Android One with this. This means all updates for next two years, security patches for three years and unlimited storage on Google Photos.
Coming to optics, the rear camera is a 12+13 MP dual camera setup, the same as that on Nokia 8 Sirocco. Along with the pro mode and slo-mo video capture, the Bokeh Effect in this is very great. The front shooter is a 16 MP front camera that does the job very well too.
The Zeiss optics will never disappoint you in any given condition. The rear camera offers 2 x zoom. The uni-body is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is provided with 3800 mAh battery to last all day long. It must also be noticed that there are no antenna lines on the device at all.
For a mid-range smartphone, this device offers more than any other manufacturer can offer. The expected price is around 32,000. We are also expecting the release sometime in May. No matter whichever feature you take, this device offers the best-in-class.So, if you are looking to upgrade to a mid-budget smartphone, consider buying this.
