AIR QUALITY INDICATOR

KENT Alps+ also comes with an inbuilt sensor and air quality indicator, which display the indoor air quality. The air purifier uses three different colors to indicate the air quality in a room. 2.HEPA FILTER

One of the main features that makes KENT Alps+ Air purifier different is the presence of HEPA dust collection technology. HEPA filters present in the air purifier remove 99.97% particles present in the indoor air. The HEPA filters can trap pollutants that are less than 0.3 microns in size. The air purifier uses three stage mechanism of Impact, interception and diffusion to catch and trap the carcinogen agents present in the indoor air. 3. CDR TECHNOLOGY

If you are planning to buy an air purifier, consider a few things including the room size, the clean air delivery rate (CADR), air changes per hour (ACH) and the type of filter in the purifier, among other things. CADR is affected by room area and height. The CADR should ideally be two-thirds of the room size. So, for a room measuring 300-350 sq.ft., a CADR of 200-250 cubic metres an hour (m3/h) is preferable.

4. DESIGN

There’s similar vents towards the rear of the air purifier for filtered air to come out of the unit. A bunch of controls are placed at the top panel allowing you to switch the unit on or off, adjust the fan speed, switch on the ionizer and even set a timer for 2, 4 or 8 hours.

Below this on the front panel you’ll find a reasonably sized colour display that shows the current PM 2.5 levels. 6 colours have been assigned for varying PM 2.5 levels, which goes from Green (Excellent) to Violet (Serious). Overall the Design is very minimal, one thing worth mentioning is the ease of replacing the filter. Grooves on the side of the unit allow you to lift the front panel. Inside you’ll find the HEPA filter and the layer of pre-activated carbon that is responsible for air purification purposes.

5.PERFORMANCE

The Kent ALPS Plus air purifier is rated at a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 400 m3/hr. We found it to be very effective at processing air in a regular bedroom or even a decent sized living room. For larger rooms you’ll need either a bigger unit or two air purifiers working together.

4. 6. IONIZER

KENT Alps is the only air purifier among the ones I explored that comes with an inbuilt ionizer. An ionizer aims to release negative ions into the atmosphere which forces the pollutants to stick on the walls or other surfaces of the room. It improves the air quality and freshens up the room like anything. It also traps pollutants on its electrically charged collection plate to keep my room fresh.
Low Noise Operation

One of my primary concern was noise. I already live in a bustling city and cannot afford the noise to sweep in my home. I have a young kid, and I don’t want the operation of product interfering with his study or sleep. KENT Alps is rated to work at as low as 54 decibels, which is an acceptable number.


7.FILTERS

There are other reasons why I chose KENT Alps, but more than that there are reasons why I wanted an air purifier. I can observe the short-term changes since I got the product. However, I am more concerned about its long-term effects, which I am sure will be positive.

There are 4 filters in the unit, the HEPA filter module is responsible for sanitizing air of PM2.5 particles, allergens and dust while the ionizer clears out foul smells, cigarette odour and more. A distinct filter placed ahead of the HEPA filter clears out physical pollutants like hair and debris.

8. AIR FLOW

We were able to see significant improvements in air quality in about 15 minutes of switching on the air purifier. For a small to medium sized living room, this is as fast as most other purifiers available in the market. The Kent ALPS Plus gets a little loud at the Highest fan speed, which is generally in all.

One of the world's leading air purifier brand, it captures 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 micron in size and is capable of change air 5 times in one hour. It has been designed for a room of up to 200sq ft. It has motion sensors and is Wifi enabled for controlling it through mobile app.

But they both are costly and dont have lastest technology as Kent Alps +

With Unique Features KENT Alps+ Air Purifier makes it to one of the best-selling products in India. And it has all the premium air purifier features in price of budget air furifier .The compact design, light weight and pedestal design makes it easy to use the air purifier without any hassles.All in all, the Kent ALPS Plus priced at Rs. 20,000 (MRP Rs. 25,000) is a good deal. we rate this product
