OECD and ICRIER to launch Agricultural Policies in India in New Delhi on Thursday, 5 July 2018
The OECD and the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) will launch their joint report Agricultural Policies in India at the Silver Oak Hall, India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, on Thursday 5 July 2018 at 10:00 local time.
Agricultural Policies in India presents a clear and quantifiable view of how India’s policies impact farmers and consumers. The report highlights progress made in India over the past two decades in agricultural diversification, sustainability and support.
It also underscores key challenges facing the sector, including climate change, pressure on natural resources and productivity growth.
The publication will be launched at a public event featuring Shri Suresh Prabhu, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ken Ash, OECD Director for Trade and Agriculture, and Rajat Kathuria, ICRIER Director and Chief Executive.
