Infinix strengthens its presence in the real-time fitness devices market with the launch of Band 5
Infinix, a premium smartphone brand from TRANSSION group, launched an all-in-one health and fitness-monitoring device - Infinix Band 5 in India today. The device, equipped with a range of features easily accessible through a colorful IPS display, is available in the colors of Black, Blue and Red. It is scheduled to go on sale via Flipkart from 3rd December, midnight onwards.
With Infinix’s successful foray into the fitness devices segment with the XBand 3, the successor - the Band 5, has been built post undertaking significant research that identified the unmet needs of the sector and incorporates a slew of features that make keeping track of your health highly engaging!
The device carefully tracks a user’s motion data comprising the number of steps taken, calorie burnt, distance covered etc. that allows an individual to plan out targeted exercise sessions. The colorful IPS display with a 0.96-inch screen, eye-catchy icons and stylish font enhance user experience further. Band 5 weighs light, which is an added advantage as it is easier to complete strenuous workout sessions wearing it. The device also offe
rs a 24*7 heart rate monitor that continuously tracks the wearer’s heart rate and any fluctuations are visible right on one’s wrist. The device even starts vibrating if the rate crosses a pre-defined threshold determined as per the wearer’s body type. Furthermore, Band 5 also offers in-band notifications of calls, SMSes, reminders from apps, etc. so that you remain tuned in to what’s happening around you, and within you, simultaneously.
Band 5 gives up to 20-Day Battery life on a single charge. With continuous Heartbeat rate monitoring feature turned on, the expected battery life is 5-7 days. The band even allows users to monitor their sleep by accurately recording information on deep and light sleep!
To avoid the postural damage and other health concerns caused by long hours spent at work desks, Band 5 has a sedentary reminder which vibrates whenever the wearer has been sitting in one position for a specific time period. The band is equipped with the upgraded Infinix Life2.0 app that offers a user-friendly interface & active data synchronization.
